>>About TUNGSTEN
The tungsten, about 50% is used for
high-quality steel smelting, about 35% is used for the production of
rigid steel, about 10% is used for the system tungsten wire and about 5%
is used for other purposes. Tungsten can be made into firearms, rockets
push device's nozzles, metal cutting blade, drill bits, super-hard mold,
drawing dies, etc. The usage of tungsten is very wide, including mining,
metallurgy, machinery, construction, transportation, electronics,
chemicals , light industry, textiles, military, aerospace, science and
technology and so on.
An iron and steel industry:
Most of tungsten is used in the production of special steel. Widely used
high-speed steel contains 9% - 24% of tungsten. The tungsten alloyed
steel containing 0.8% - 1.2% of tungsten, chrome tungsten silicon steel
contains 2% - 2.7% of tungsten; chromium tungsten steel containing 2% -
9% of tungsten; chromium tungsten manganese steel contains 0.5% - 1.6%
of tungsten. Tungsten magnet steel contains 5.2% - 6.2% tungsten.
Tungsten-cobalt magnet containing 11.5% - 14.5% tungsten.
WC-based carbide:
Tungsten carbide has high hardness, wear resistance and refractory
nature. These alloys contain 85% - 95% of the tungsten carbide and 5% -
14% of cobalt. All of these alloys are manufactured by powder metallurgy
method. .
Hot resistant and wear-resistant alloys:
Tungsten is the most difficult to melt metal and widely used in many
hot-resistant compositions, mainly for strong wear-resistant parts, such
as aero-engine valve, dies keen knife working parts, turbine impeller,
excavation equipment, Plowshares surface coating. Rocket technology in
aviation, as well as requires that the machine parts, engines and
equipment heat intensity of a number of other sectors, to the melting of
tungsten and other metals (such as tantalum, niobium, molybdenum,
rhenium) alloy used for hot-strong materials.
Contact material and the high density alloys:
Manufactured by powder metallurgy, tungsten - copper alloy (10% - 40% of
copper) and tungsten - silver alloy and copper and silver all have
good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and wear resistance.
Therefore, it is used in the manufacturing of switches, circuit
breakers, spot welding electrodes working parts contact material. The
alloy contented 90% - 95% of tungsten, 1% - 6% nickel, 1% - 4% of copper
is used in the manufacture top meter rotor, aircraft, control the rudder
of a balanced hammer, radioactive isotopes and radiation shielding
materials such as baskets.
Electronic Vacuum Lighting Material:
Tungsten belt, wire and various forged parts are used in vacuum tube
production, radio electronics and X-ray technology. Tungsten and
tungsten rod are used as the heater of high-temperature furnace
