The National Natural Science Foundation of China, "Steel Asian rapid solidification mechanism, control methods and properties of materials," passed the acceptance

The project focus on AISI304 stainless steel and systematically study the steel sub-rapid solidification of the formation and evolution of the organization, sub-rapid solidification effect on the steel distribution of solute elements, sub-rapid solidification effect on the formation of inclusions in steel, solidification effect on Casting with a defect causes and prevention of countermeasures, as well as the steel sub-rapid solidification effect on the relationship between the organization and performance, made series of innovative achievements. Project research results enrich the steel sub-rapid solidification theory, has provided an important theoretical guidance and support for China steel strip casting technology.
